avalanche of work

So I'm currently working on an 8 page script for the Stache Publishing anthology by Anthony Mathenia and I also just received my script for the Ink & Drink anthology by Brent Mueller. Needless to say, I'm very excited. One thing I forgot is that I'm also supposed to have an entry for a head to head contest on Penciljack. Completely forgot. And I'm the one who picked the topic. So it looks like my plate got a little bit fuller for the next couple days. I'm going to try and knock out my Penciljack submission today, along with another couple pages of the Stache script, and then do layouts for Ink & Drink.  This is what I knocked out so far for my head to head piece.

Here are just a few sketches from my sketchbook. Nothing too crazy, just some anatomical sketches and studies. There may be a few caped heroes in there just to keep up nerd cred. 

the new 52

I think it’s time for me to stop being the cranky old man about DC’s new 52. It’s time that I caught up on my DC comic books.  Batman has had a great run from what I’ve heard and I was actually caught up with the Aquaman series when it started up. Also the early Superman with the tee shirt and jeans was really cool. Thought that was  an awesome proto-costume.

Long story short, I popped out a quick sketch of the new 52 costumes (sort of).
